I was born and raised in New York state. I served in the Army first in a medical unit, then with the Military Police. I then finished college and got my teaching certificate. I have been teaching for 25 years and I have a wife and an autistic son with school anxiety. My wife is a therapist who works with children and adults. I live in Port Jefferson, New York.
My Bachelor’s Degree is from Saint Joseph’s College. I have a Masters degree from Hofstra University in Math, Science and Technology. I am an Army Veteran and a former soccer coach for 10 seasons at Saint Joseph’s.
In my career I have taught every grade from Kindergarten to 6th Grade. Most of my experience has been at the elementary school level. I am currently a 5th grade teacher in Hicksville New York. My philosophy is that you must reach each child differently because learning is not one size fits all. We all learn in our own way. I pride myself in being able to find that way.
I generally ask for sixty dollars an hour if we are not meeting regularly. If we are seeing each other on a regular schedule, we can discuss a different number of course. I’m open to working with you especially if we find that we are in close proximity to each other geographically.
